This demo is the only recording that exists of Memphis' short-lived, Reuben James.

The tracking was done one day in August, 1996, in Manchester, TN, on an 8-track reel-to-reel. No overdubs, no fixes, no post-effects.

Sadly, the original reel was lost in 2000 and all that remains is this cassette mix.

What ended Reuben James is a mystery--even to the band. But the music being what it is, and considering who made it happen, it's fitting that it lives on.
